Whitehall Pool and Tennis Club

On the social front, we have a very active schedule planned for the upcoming season; mark your calendars for the 2010 schedule so you don’t miss a thing.  We will kick off the summer with our Memorial Day Picnic on May 31  , from 2:00-4:00pm.  We are also excited about our first Shrimp Night of the season, on June 11^th , which will be featuring the “ Andy Poxon Band”.  This will be a great night out for adults!   It will be followed by our first Family Night, June 12, which will be “UP” !  Don’t forget to check the pool website for updated information.

Our annual membership fee for this year at $545, the annual membership fee provides the income required to properly staff, operate and maintain our 40+ year old facility.   This last winter we lost the awning over the snack bar area in the record snowfall.  This loss was covered by insurance and should be in place prior to pool opening.

Did you know that our pool still has memberships available? Spread the word to your friends and neighbors on how much fun your family has at WPTC. Invite them to our Open House on Saturday, May 22^nd, from 10am - 2pm to sign up new families. We will continue our Referral Rebate program this year to encourage you to help us find new members.

This past November at our Annual Membership Meeting, the following people were elected to the Board of Directors for a two year term: Bridget Senecal, Bob Klem, Bryan Snyder, Mike Berganski and Jill Miller.  The following board members have another year to serve: Jeff Schumacher, Jim Gainor, Carolyn Noe, and Nicole Foster. The board would like to extend a special thank you to outgoing Board Member Gina Hossick, for her many years of dedication to the pool. We would also like to welcome new Board Members Jill Miller (Social).

The Board would like to Welcome Back Laura Bryer as Pool Manager.  Joining Laura’s team as Assistant Managers are Sarah Hathaway and Kevin Silver.  We would also like to thank Katie Connors for hers of service as Snack Bar Manager and welcome Kellie Berganski as the new Snack Bar Manager.  Please read the message from the Manager included in this newsletter. It has important information regarding rules and regulations that make our club both enjoyable and safe.
